* scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue
this evening and into the overnight hours... with locally
torrential rainfall possible. While coverage of showers and
storms will decrease late tonight... there will still be a
threat of local flooding problems under any heavy downpours that
do fall.

* Local rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be possible with
any storms this afternoon. In locations that have already
received heavy rainfall... even a brief downpour will likely
result in flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
