Narrative: the NWS in louisiville conducted a storm survey in
conjunction with Fayette County emergency management and members of
the Lexington media. It was determined that straight-line winds
impacted an area from just southeast of Masterson station park to
Highlands Park. Many trees were downed in this area with structural
damage to around 6 homes, mostly from fallen trees. Wind speeds were
estimated to mostly be in the 70 mph range, however peak winds were
as high as 95 mph in The Highlands park area. Hail around the size
of Golf balls also accompanied the wind.

management and the Lexington media for their assistance with our
storm damage assessment.
