Flash Flood Watch  Statement as of 9:29 PM EDT on July 2, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Indiana and Kentucky... including the
following areas... in southeast Indiana... Switzerland. In
Kentucky... Bracken... Carroll... Gallatin... Grant... Lewis...
Mason... Owen... Pendleton and Robertson.

* Through Friday evening

* a frontal boundary will remain stalled out along the Ohio River
through Friday as a weak low pressure system pushes slowly east.
This will lead to occasional showers and thunderstorms across
the area tonight through Friday. The storms will be slow moving
which will lead to the potential for locally heavy rainfall.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that flooding of small streams...
creeks and other drainage areas is possible within the watch
area. People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather
and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and
flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued.
